Going to full formula milk

After nearly 8 mths, Gabby is going fully on formula milk. Now only left about 9 oz of breast milk in the fridge. now we'll be looking and hunting for the best price available. she's now on cereal and porridge as well, so at least we save 2 feeds of formula. if you are parents with babies, you'll know that babies formula does cost a bomb especially if its "branded".

now we hv to set aside quite a hugh budget for formula milk. a beginning of new round of headache....

Pain in the heart

Yesterday morning my baby G after having her bath and her meal was playing with her pacifier on the bed. I was just like a couple of feet away about to finish ironing my shirt. I turn to her and she was quietly playing on the middle of the bed. I just then switch off the iron and turn away to plug out the plug.

Then I suddenly heard a "thup". i turned and saw her on the floor face up. She then started crying. My heart just sank. I quickly rush to her and pick her up. Looking at the back of her head and there was a reddish spot. I just so worried and speechless. Mommy rush in and with tears in her eyes take a look at her head and she touched every part of her body to ensure that everything are ok.
And thank God she was really ok, she was her normal self, shouting, yelling and don't want to sleep. We thank God for His protection and for cushioning the floor.

It was really our carelessness by just leaving her on the bed without protection or someone sitting with her. We are dissapointed with ourselves but a lesson learnt, a hard way though..

This cause us pain in the heart but can you imagine the pain that we cause to God when we turn away from Him. think about it....

Youth with a mission Part 1

Last weekend, 13 of us, teenagers (ahem..ahem) went for a 2 days trip to Orang Asli Village in Pahang and Selangor. A day that starts at 5.30am where we drive down to Raub, Pahang. Stopping for breakfast in Ipoh and lunch at Nasi Kandar Restaurant along the Karak Highway.

Reached Raub at about 2.50pm, immediately we were all hudled up into a pick up truck and off we go thru valleys and streams and ups and downs to a village called Kg Sinai which are located at a hilltop.

the ride up to the village was one of the best I ever had..

when we reached the village, we were greeted by a group of about 20 mountain motor bikers complete with their gear.

Baby G at 4.5 Mths

That's my Baby G when she slept. You can see that while she is sleeping, she is holding on her cot. This past weeks she has grown so fast in terms of development. And she is getting more and more friendly now. and daily we are amazed by her. not to mention, getting cuter....

Raja Sehari

Last weeekend, we went to a colleague's wedding ceremony and lunch. we reached there at about 1.oopm. we reached there quite early as the ceremony was scheduled at 2.30pm, i think so we had lunch first. of course, i was looking forward for the lunch as i really love the chicken rendang. after lunch, we went inside to chat with the bride and we saw a really elaborate throne and according to the bride, it cost about RM 1.8K. I was like speechless, cause its so expensive. This is where the bride and groom sits durng the bersanding ceremony. as it was still early, the bride asked us to sit and there we were, sitting on the throne just like a king and queen.

10 days of fasting or dieting?

The 10 days fasting organised by AG starts last friday and end this coming sunday. now, the question is how many of us taking this fasting period as really a time to seek God and draw closer to Him or just a time of dieting?

its all down to each individual, really. do we fast out of desperation? do we fast because of an urgent need of an answer from God or we fast because of we want to slim down.

for me its between yourself and God. no one or nothing else matters.

I decided to fast "1 meal fast" because I needed to. Ever since we have a baby girl, I just felt that my prayer life has "slaken" and I also grew further apart from the church and God. In the midst of adjusting and taking care of her, the focus on God grew blur. So, to get back on track, this is what I need to do.

well, if during the fasting period i lost an inch or two then so be it...good for me

Baby G's first trip to KL

baby G is now 4.5 mths old. she is getting cuter each day. its just amazing watching her grow and learn new things. she now able to hold her bottle...we hv to help her lah.
she is learning to seat also..

last week was her first long journey to kl. we drove down on thursday morning and came back on monday nite. she not comfortable loh...she cried a lot and when coming back to penang especially when near penang, she really uncomfortable liao..but overall its a good experience of bringing my baby out..

baby g also have a guardian when she sleep...barkley watched over her...its so amazing that barkley liked her so much...

well, the truth is baby g will not remember anything from this trip...its just that we have not been going out for holiday for more than half a year liao..so bringing baby g to kl is more of a holiday to us....

The LOVE of my life

17th of December 2007 is one of my DAY. The DAY that after 9 mths in her mommy's belly, my precious baby girl who weighted 2.9 kg was born. She is just the prettiest and cutest baby I ever seen. Since that day, she is the one thing that really makes me a father I am. Mel and I are just fullfilling what God has commanded His people to do.. that is to be fruitful and multiply.

She is such a cutie since day 1. Now exactly 4 mths down the road, she is even cuter. We are just amazed by her. She is really a gift frm God. Her name is Gabrielle Ch'ng En. aka Baby G aka Gabby aka Mafia......Her first photo.

the return....

it doesn't seems so long when i log in to my blogger account for the first time since Oct 2005. i admit it. i just lost the thoughtfullness and the desire to blog. imagine my surprise that blogger is now part of Google.


u might asked how come after so long i decided to return to blogging. the trigger point is that i received an SMS from my fren sharing her husband's blog (bold-talk.blogspot.com). i did take a peek on the blog and then it just came...


this reminds me of my return to Christ about 11 yrs ago. i was a lost sheep. i was baptised in a Baptist church, its Trinity Baptist Church, Alor Star to be exact. after i came to Penang to further my edu. i slowly drifted apart from my church friends and most importantly from God. i did went to church but God is not the reason, my then gf, Irene was the reason. I met her in college and she likes me and i like her and io follow her to church. We attended PCC on regular basis in the beginning and i did went to the youth cell group. slowly but surely i drifted away from the church and cell group. irene and i broke up mths later and i was back to the self centered, don't care less of the world kind of guy. i wasn't really went wild but i did smoked and drink alcohol.


i lived my life totally dependant on Richard, Ah Kar, I, and me. i was like just lost and God was never in my mind again.


until, one day i met ah loon. (who is ah loon? another story later). we went to mamak tong at telekom jalan burmah and we chat. he then invited me to the church. i just kept quiet. a few weeks later, the thought of going to the church came across my mind. i called ah loon and asked him the location of the church. he directed me and i stepped into the church which was then at Jalan Gurdwara.


that was the beginning of my return.........
